Hello! How about this for a Colour Challenge photo then?

Sunshine Stamping Colour Challenge 4

Now isn't that just the best Halloween cake you've ever seen?! It was the Great British Bake Off final a few days ago, so I thought I'd hunt around for a cake photo for our inspiration this week. I couldn't resist this one, which I found on www.pinkcakebox.com . Here's my card, based on this colour combination:

Sunshine Stamping Colour Combination Challenge Card 4

My trusty old Foxy Friends stamp set was perfect for what I wanted to do here, and I used it in combination with the stamp set we used in this month's class - Totally Trees. I LOVE that stamp set! The solid grassy area the tree stum is sitting on is created using the long stamp from Totally Trees, but missing out the middle. I masked off the tree stump and one side of the card at a time, so I could stamp just the ends of the image. The blades of grass and the stars are from that set too, while the mushrooms are from Foxy Friends. The witch's hat was created using the tiniest Layering Oval Framelit die, and the Jolly Hat builder punch, then I highlighted it with a white gel pen to add a bit of definition. The sentiment is from my current favourite, Flourishing Phrases. As usual, you can get everything you need from my Online Shop, and I've popped all the links below. Don't forget to use the current hostess code if your order is between £20 and £150, so I can send you a free gift as a thank you. (If your order is £150 or above, you'll get your own Stampin' Rewards to spend).

I'd love to see your cards using this combination, so do send your photos to me. You can add them to the comments on this post, or drop me an email. I'll share my favourites, so everyone can enjoy them and be inspired by them too,

Thanks for dropping by, and have a fabulous weekend. xx

Hello! I have a confession to make.... This week has been unbelievably hectic, what with juggling everything to do with getting the house ready to rent, so I don't have a finished Midweek Make-Over project for you. BUT, what I DO have, is a sneaky peek at what I'm going to be making over for next Wednesday's post.

Sunshine Stamping Desk Tidy 1

This project was actually the inspiration for me starting this Midweek Make-Over series. It's from waaaaay back in 2010 (hence the awful photos), when I hadn't been doing my classes for very long, and I designed it as a class project. I've been wanting to revisit it for ages, though I didn't think it was quite so long ago! I did a bit of a double-take when I saw the date on the files!

The original post is on my (very) old blog site, so I'm not even sure if it's findable. To save you having to hunt, here are another couple of pics. Again, apologies for the photos - they're really not good, but hopefully you get the idea.

I made a batch of cards to keep in it, too...

Goodness, these are from a long time ago! We have moved since, and I no longer have space to run my classes from home. I miss being able to do that....

So. This is the project that I'm going to be revisiting in next Wednesday's blog post. I'm really excited about remaking this one with gorgeous new products. Do pop back then to have a look.

I hope you're having a brilliant week! Thanks for dropping in... xx

How are you enjoying my Sunday Sketches? I hope they're inspiring you to get into your craftrooms and get creative, 'cause that's what it's all about, after all. I've got an interesting one for you this week:

Sunshine Stamping Sunday Sketch Challenge No 3

And here are my sample cards for you:

I love these! I'd never actually been that keen on the Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper (used on the card on the right), but I think it really works with this design. Cute use of the strawberry stamp in place of the bow, too, don't you think? And Blooms& Bliss is always gorgeous, whichever way you use it. I've popped details of everything that's used in these two cards at the bottom of this post.

Have you been inspired by this sketch? Send your project pictures to me, either by commenting on this post, or by dropping me an email, and I'll share my favourites so that everyone can enjoy them too. I always love to hear from you!

Thanks for dropping in!
